
Dr. Saleem Ghori is a seasoned reservoir engineering consultant with over 25 years of global experience in the oil and gas industry. His expertise spans the entire lifecycle of field development—from exploration and appraisal to production optimization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). He has led multi-million-dollar CO₂ EOR pilots, optimized waterflood performance in the world’s largest oil field, and delivered reservoir simulation and development strategies across six countries, including the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Norway, Indonesia, and Mexico.
Dr. Ghori has held senior technical and leadership roles at ExxonMobil, KFUPM/Saudi Aramco, and multiple consulting firms. He is particularly recognized for his work in CO₂ capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) design, and simulation modeling using tools like Eclipse, EMPower, and RE Petrel. His technical insights are reinforced by a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from New Mexico Tech, and a portfolio of peer-reviewed publications and SPE conference papers.
As Membership Chairperson of the SPE CCUS Technical Section (2023–24), Dr. Ghori continues to support knowledge sharing and innovation in sustainable reservoir development worldwide.
